Eco-Radical Organizations

Friends of Morice-Bulkley

The Friends of Morice-Bulkley is just an extension of the Driftwood Foundation there is no list of anyone in charge, at least they will not publicly admit to such. They have no official status as a charitable organization, but ask people to send the money via the Driftwood Foundation so in every likelihood the leadership are under the control of the same.

Even when they speak to the press here is what it looks like “A Smithers-based group, Friends of Morice-Bulkley, has also been advocating” almost no names, no faces , just the same crowd hiding who they are for the obvious reason they are already well known in both the Driftwood Foundation and Friends of Wild Salmon so the game is played. A lot of the email used to be sent out by Pat Moss and also Josette WierDawn Remington also speaks publicly for this group. In January 2019, Friends of Morice-Bulkley and Friends of Wild Salmon hosted a talk at the Old Church in Smithers about the same Vopak deal. (all connected at the hip) After a lot of digging we found  Dawn Remingtonis chair of Smithers-based environmental group Friends of Morice-Bulkley (Nov 2020). She also is on the Board of the Friends of Wild Salmon .

In an interview back in 2012  Dawn Remington admits The group she is a member of, Friends of Morice-Bulkley, does not take money from foreign interests, she said.  “We’re a bunch of locals not typically involved,” said Remington of her group, which is part of the Friends of Wild Salmon coalition.

These radicals overlap from one group to another, all in part funded by either the Tides Foundation  or the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation

Their target projects are sonorously all the same.

  • The Telkwa Coal Mine
  • Vopak Pacific Canada propane export terminal in Prince Rupert
  • Safe Rail (note that name and a group also named the same on Facebook) (coincidence?)
  • CN’s Track Record – to insure none of the above get built.

Collecting money from the public and spending it the way they do is not only immoral, its questionable if its even legal.
