The Sitka Foundation is a private, family-run foundation based in Vancouver, BC, established in 2008
. It is primarily funded by its founders, Canadian mining and renewable energy entrepreneur Ross Beaty and his wife Trisha Beaty.The foundation’s initial capital and ongoing funding have come through private cash and stock donations by the Beaty family, including significant shares from Alterra Power Corp. (founded by Ross Beaty) and its successor Innergex Renewable Energy.
