Watersheds BC

| The Golden Rule is that whoever holds the wealth or financial power dictates how things are done. So follow the money to find out who is deciding the agenda. There are two primary factors involved, who are they getting funding from and who they are funding. |
Funding is by the following.
| POLIS Water Sustainability Project American Funded | First Nations Fisheries Council – American Funded | BC Freshwater Legacy Initiative (BCFLI) – American Funded |
| Healthy Watersheds Initiative | Real Estate Foundation of British Columbia |
There is no such group called Watersheds BC, its a collaborative project.
Watersheds BC grew out of ongoing collaboration between the POLIS Water Sustainability Project, First Nations Fisheries Council, and the BC Freshwater Legacy Initiative.
For almost a decade, these organizations have worked together toward a common vision of watershed security and healthy waters, achieved through new approaches to watershed management and governance grounded in community values and local and Indigenous knowledge.
Watersheds BC works closely with organizations and communities to achieve watershed security and local watershed governance. Our work on the Healthy Watersheds Initiative is in partnership with the Real Estate Foundation of British Columbia and we recently partnered with The American Tides Foundation, aka the MakeWay Foundation. to launch the Indigenous Watershed Initiative.
