The “obstructionist” profile of Facundo Gastiazoro

The following is a list of people and organizations Facundo Gastiazoro is directly and or indirectly involved with.
Background
Gastiazoro was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1975. He has described his family leaving Argentina during the military dictatorship because his parents were involved with the opposition; the family spent about five years in exile. He immigrated to Canada in 2002 and settled in Smithers. He has described his background as Argentinian with Wichí/Lebanese heritage. Gastiazoro found a niche to pay his way in our community, by joining forces with those who want us to believe we live on stolen land and we are unwelcome guest here, this all his murals represent a return of ownership to the Indians.
Gastiazoro has worked extensively with Wet’suwet’en artists, elders and researchers. He was the director, camera operator and editor for the Shared Histories film project associated with the Bulkley Valley Museum. The project documents Wet’suwet’en elders’ memories of Indiantown, the Wet’suwet’en community that existed in Smithers until the 1960s.
Shared Histories is not a history film or book at all is a funded propaganda piece. Not a lot unlike his film where he “uses” meaning takes advantage of children narrating his short film created as propaganda for Skeenawild Conservation Trust in that film it show how OUR children are being brainwashed (green washed) and its ploy to make this all about “Indian land Indian fish” and re-educating society from the ground up, starting with children. The sort film is called Up Your Watershed, re-funded by the Tides foundation using money laundering through the Skeenawild Conservation Trust , this is a very revulsive concept to used Tides funds to GreenWash our children to suit their narrative.
Gastiazoro indianized the Bulkley Valley Museum’s permanent ’Alhk’ikh Ts’ëdilh (Walking Together): Shared Histories exhibition. The museum says the exhibition was co-curated with the Wet’suwet’en community and historian Tyler McCreary, with Gastiazoro responsible for exhibit design.
Smithers went from a town that created the Swiss Alpine Theme, to a town that now themes “Bronx” style graffiti with an aboriginal twist and somehow that is fine by the BC NDP Goverment that has the Smithers town town council in its pocket. We now see “Bronx” style graffiti on the Bulkley Valley District Hospital, on Main Street on the side of Dze L K’ant Friendship Centre depicting Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, as if that is a problem created by White Canadians. More and more “Bronx” style graffiti is appearing in our Swiss Alpine Theme,, and its an insult to our non aboriginal elders. Its an insult to the pioneers of our community, and somehow I cannot help wondering if they enjoy sticking it to White Canadians. Just look at who those people that are backing this “woke craze” are, all heavy duty socialists working hand in hand with the NDP.
Facundo Gastiazoro is also involved in CICK Smithers Community Radio, along side other very well know agitators.
Let that a decade after landing in Canada to escape the the military dictatorship, felt obligated to fight the “Federal environmentally approved” Enbridge Northern Gateway project, Gastiazoro gave an oral statement. The official hearing transcript identifies him as a Smithers resident and records him discussing his background, immigration to Canada and his views concerning the project. Canada allows him to come here and as an act of gratitude, he wants our jobs, our future, shut down.
