The Wet’suwet’en Five
The Office of the Wet’suwet’en has evolved over the last 2 decades but from the start it was controlled by five very aggressive men. The problem really is much worse that it appears, the Wet’suwet’en need to revisit the legitimacy of the very people that stole their titles. The question remains did any of the people now claiming they own thier titles receive them in the true Wet’suwet’en passing on of title?

There is no record to show that John Ridsdale was in line for the title of Hereditary Chief. There is overwhelming proof that it should have gone to Dan Michell and the opportunist John Ridsdale stole the title.

Another appointed not inherited Hereditary Chief, was he appointed by John Ridsdale the ring leader of the Wet’suwet’en Five? Where is the legitimacy in his title that was never obtained using Wet’suwet’en laws?
Let us do a review of history, let’s go all the way back to when Chief Gwen’U was the head of the Laksilyu (small frog) clan, his English name was Chief Stanaslaus George Nikal. Remember Wet’suwet’en title is held for life, let’s look back at this case Chief Gwen’U was never stripped of his blanket, it means he still holds that name and under Wet’suwet’en laws still holds the title to that land. Yet somehow we find that again without any Wet’suwet’en protocol whatsoever almost if the fairy godmother came along and with one quick swish of the wand, Ron Mitchell became the Hereditary Chief of the Laksilyu Clan, and now heads the House of Many Eyes, the same house Chief Gwen’U was never removed from as the Hereditary Chief.
Regardless of how many people hated Stan Nikal for what he was accused of doing, at no time was he officially stripped of his title. Unlike recent other cases Ron Mitchell did not get the title of Chief Gwen’U but instead used his own name of Chief Hagwilnegh and somehow that now became a Hereditary Chief’s title, it was nothing short of having a fairy godmother, because no Wet’suwet’en protocol was followed here.
The question the Wet’suwet’en nation needs to ask is by whose authority was this done? Was this an in house Office of Wet’suwet’en decision? Was this illegally done by other Hereditary Chief’s? Wet’suwet’en protocol says title cannot change hands until after the existing Hereditary Chief dies, and he is still very much alive today.
Jeff Brown – Jeff Brown a resident from Burns Lake (Lake Babine Nation) he is not a Wet’suwet’en. Its no secret that the Office of Wet’suwet’en has been secretly and often not so secretly supporting the blockaders since 2009, depending on the legal definition of what would be grounds for legal action against the Office of Wet’suwet’en. Jeff Brown worked at Babine Forest Products for pretty much all of his adult life and in his retirement could easily afford to buy his title within the Office of Wet’suwet’en.
There is no evidence whatsoever that he inherited the title of Hereditary Chief This is yet another case of buying the title in complete contradiction to Wet’suwet’en laws.
Fred Tom is likely the most gullible of the Wet’suwet’en Five, he was a frequent visitor to a Chinese Restaurant, and many people observed him staggering in. We will leave it there, but most people living here know him quite well. His self righteous indignation shows well in a staged video production by the anarchists. To the point of almost amusing listening to staged tears. Fred Tom lives in Moricetown (the woke version has in now named Witset.) He is close to 80 kilometers from his back yard, and pretends he owns land that is in fact crown land, it belongs to all of us. Listen to him talk, and how rude he really is. Listen closely at the 2:37 mark where we here the voice of the person who most likely is not even Indian asks the CGL worker what his name is. Then you here Fred Tom ask a very stupid question, “How many of our children need to go missing” Given how rude an ignorant Tom was when he spoke to the CGL employee, how could anyone call him a respectable Hereditary Chief?
Then comes the question of legitimacy, “Alfred Joseph, whose traditional name is Gisday’wa, was a Wet’suwet’en chief, “knowledge holder,” carver, teacher, orator and noted defender of Wet’suwet’en rights.” are words spoken about a man who was a true leader in his time. Fred Tom “did not follow the traditional methods required to become a Hereditary Chief even if he is using the title “Gisday’wa” there is no evidence he was the legitimate heir to that name.
There was another key player in this Wet’suwet’en monopoly, that played an instrumental role as the king maker in this entire debacle of fraudulent Wet’suwet’en power and money grab. Her name is Violet Gellenbeck (now deceased) and she is connected to all the stripped titles of Wet’suwet’en Chiefs. She is a self admitted Gitxsan, that did not follow matralineal rules in order to claim Wet’suwet’en title. Violet Gellenbeck is dressed in black with a violet shirt, seeing it makes it clear that she is directly involved with the stripping of title, watch how she walks in with Warner Naziel who is wearing the stolen Title robe of Smogelgem (Gloria George) even before Gloria George is tripped of her title. Then take note that Warner Naziel who alongside his common law wife Freda Huson set up the initial blockade to block the Coastal Gaslink Pipeline.
