Eco-Radical Organizations

Douglas Channel Watch

Douglas Channel Watch is a Facebook Page it is not as they claim to be a Environmental Conservation Organization at all but a collaborative by a few people and amounts to a single person owning a Facebook Page. The Douglas Channel Watch Society does not exist, however if you called together for people to oppose a project involving Kitimat, yes they could pull together a group of people, none of whom hold or have ever held membership to any organization called the Douglas Channel Watch Society.

I know its an assumption, but a good guess is the webpage belongs to Cheryl Brown, any quick search on social media can quickly affirm my assumption to be true.

From DCW’s Cheryl Brown to Kitimat Council!

Incompetent Politics
I truly expected more. The action of the Kitimat council on the plebiscite question at the last council meeting speaks of continued political inaction and incompetence. The circus show that ensued demonstrated that the council remains entrenched in politics and saving face rather than working towards the best interests of the community. A decision of council neutrality two years ago hamstrung this council into inaction during the entire JRP process with no interaction in the process in the interests of its citizens. Now after the JRP recommendation has been announced, council wants to ask what the public thinks about the recommendation with all its 209 conditions. Not a simple task. People in the know including Enbridge are trying to figure it out. But Council – whom I am sure must have read the document, want to know how its citizens think, so they can adjust their politics to be re-elected in the next municipal elections. Why else would they ask a convoluted question, about a recommendation and conditions they can do nothing about, after the fact.

They removed the photo, its no longer available.

Above is a group of supporters for an organization that never really existed.

However we can share tidbits of how they pull off this stunt by Eco Radicals. Despite the information below there is no credible documentation we have been able to obtain that proves and such organization actually ever existed or is in existence. We are not saying there was no loose knit unofficial group, what we are saying is no such group was ever legally established.
