Amnesty International is funded in whole or part from outside of Canada.
Having gifted Amnesty International with donations for decades in my wildest dreams I would never have guessed any organization so good could go so wrong. Having witnessed how drug lords in third world nations use Amnesty International as a shield from police and goverment, then in the so called First world where they are now fronts for Eco-Radical groups. I am so disappointed with Amnesty International it makes me ask who now will legitimately defend human rights?
Today Eco-radical groups proudly display partnership with Amnesty International and the organization does absolutely nothing about it. In the Philippines Senator Leila de Lima was found guilty of and charged with drug trafficking during the time when she headed the Philippine Amnesty International. Yes she is crying foul but its not the impression locals are giving.
Criticism of Amnesty International (AI) includes claims of selection bias, as well as ideology and foreign policy bias against either non-Western countries or Western-supported countries. Governments that have criticized AI include those of Israel, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, China, Vietnam, Russia, Chile and the United States, which have complained about Amnesty International for what they assert is one-sided reporting, or a failure to treat threats to security as a mitigating factor. The actions of these governments—and of other governments critical of Amnesty International—have been the subject of human rights concerns voiced by Amnesty. The Catholic Church has also criticized Amnesty for its stance on abortion, particularly in Catholic-majority countries. Amnesty International has also been criticized for paying some of its staff high salaries. A 2019 report also showed that a toxic work environment is present at Amnesty.
As Amnesty International allows itself to be used by radial elements in the Bulkley Valley we are including them as Eco-Radical Organizations
