Political interference in British Columbia include Its recent statements have addressed the Eskay Creek gold mine in the Unuk River watershed and the New Polaris gold mine project in the Taku watershed. calls for a ban on failure-prone mine-waste dams on shared international salmon rivers. Its campaign argues that pollution originating upstream in B.C. could affect downstream fisheries and communities in Alaska/ (we have the strongest environmental laws on pollution, they in fact have among the worst protections. The campaign works with Indians,, fishing interests, tourism businesses and community leaders. It publishes press releases, encourages public action and uses its short documentary to explain the issues affecting northwestern B.C. In March 2026, it responded to Alaska senators’ calls for the U.S. government to use economic and diplomatic tools concerning Canadian mines. In April 2026, it criticized plans for large-vessel trips on the Taku River associated with the New Polaris project.
Salmon Beyond Borders found its way into our list by way of it partnership with Friends of Wild Salmon as we stated before every organization we have in our Eco-Radical Organizations is somehow connected to our residents in the Skeena and Bulkley Valley or Lakes District. If they have any legal status at all, it would be American only, as we checked and they are not registered in Canada. They produce propaganda films showing how beautiful our forests lakes and rivers are, then with the underling message you will loose it all.
