Dear Kia Nagata and your Dogwood Propaganda
To the Editor
I got your urgent letter in my email and thought it deserved a reply. I was going to suggest you get yourself educate, but know that without all this fundraising you might actually have to work for a living in this lifetime. But hey you have done quite well to date, spinning tall tales and fear mongering, how many years has it been since you last had to show up for work?
Kia Nagata said; “People across B.C. are breathing in climate breakdown this week. “
Truth is “climate change is a normal progression of nature, the smoke people are breathing is due to the closure of sawmills, Since the BC NDP came to power in 2017, the percentage of the AAC that is actually cut has fallen below 50 per cent. Simple math Kia, use it, meaning harvest it, or nature will do what its always done, it burns it. The “various reasons for closures” include a stack of new policies and regulations: Old growth harvesting moratoria, new forest landscape plans, ecosystem-based land management, increasing parks and protected areas, shared land-use decision-making with First Nations, and federal and provincial caribou habitat protection plans. It was people like you that made most of the province “old growth forests” What people need is education, not wallet propping propaganda.
Kia Nagata said; “In Kitimat, toxic flames roared 182 metres (600 feet) into the sky above the LNG Canada terminal, in an “unplanned flaring event” on Monday.
The real truth Kia is let me quote “LNG Canada advises that an unplanned flaring event occurred September 1st at approximately 8 p.m. resulting in a flare height of approximately 60 metres overnight, with associated visible emissions.” “Flaring is a safe outlet for natural gas and is provincially regulated. Flaring is normal during facility start-ups and shutdowns but occurs much less frequently during steady operations. Flare height is expected to vary between 20 and 50 meters until around May 15th. (NOT 182 metres) Grossly exaggerated Kia. Also once the plant is running it will only be a rare occurrence, you forgot the whole truth matters Kia.
Kia Nagata said; Vancouver, kids walked to school under a thick blanket of wildfire smoke, with air pollution levels worse than any other city on the planet.
As we stated earlier, most of the fires are due to the natural evolution of our planet, and the insane policies by the NDP Goverment in BC in its refusal to do prescibed burns, and turning all 50% of BC into Old Growth Forest. Log it or burn it, but then why not use it to sell donations to people who do not want to work for a living?
Kia Nagata said; And yet our government continues with its single-minded goal of expanding the fossil fuel industry – with the U.S.-owned Ksi Lisims LNG megaproject next in line for approval.
Kia as a so called reporter do you have any insights into who in your neck of the woods is responsible for all the industrial terrorism taking place? We find it odd that the only aboriginals you support are the protesters and not the Nisga’a Nation building this project. You are also on the Board of Directors – Skeena Watershed Conservation Coalition. And the the Gitanyow Chiefs that you support live on land that was taken from the Tsimshian Nation. Funny as a reporter you have so many facts to hide?
Kia Nagata said; They’re doubling down, and so are we. Welcome to the Dogwood News September fundraising drive.
Here it comes, you need to fund Kia and his gang of freeloaders. Maybe Dogwood was not paying enough so you laid eyes on the Tides funding the Skeena Watershed Conservation Coalition
gets?
Kia Nagata said; We’re giving ourselves 30 days to raise $10,000 to be ready for a fall full of rapid-response actions as the LNG battle ramps up — and we can’t do it without you.
And and all suckers are welcome, please keep our free ride afloat. Does rapid response also include the demolition of private property? aka Is Kispiox the center of local Terrorism?
