American Environmentalists own the Metlakatla First Nations
How can anyone ever expect to take any First Nation seriously when they cannot stick to agreements they made in the past? We see a change in leadership and suddenly agreements made in the past are snuffed out like a discarded cigarette, and we see an air or attitude that reeks of egotism and arrogance. Then we see so many members driving brand-new trucks and cars, all powered by the very same fossil fuels that they are funded to oppose. How does that make them look to the rest of us trying to work hard to make a living? Who exactly is making this an issue of them or us? Before we get to the part where we show that the Metlakatla First Nations are the servants of American Environmentalists who bought their loyalty, let’s look at the lies being told by Metlakatla First Nations leadership first.
Here we are all struggling to make ends meet, pay our bills hold down a job, pay our taxes, then see people who are mostly unemployed living a standard of living even nether parents or our children can afford. They are the same people now standing in the road, being paid by Americans to shut down any opportunity for the majority of people living here, and trying to earn an honest living. If this makes you angry, it should, money does not grow on trees, it comes out of our pockets, it lowers our standard of living, that is on the heads of the BC NDP and its coalition partners in Ottawa, the Federal Liberals. We have no objection to helping the poor, but elevating them to a higher standard of living than the people who fund the tax system borders insane.
We see the same two governments bragging about supporting the Ksi Lisims LNG to one First Nation and funding opposition to it by another First Nations group. Divide and conquer by the Liberal/BCNDP Coalition.
Selling out to American’s who do not want Canada to compete in the energy sector, the mineral sector, and the forest sector has become the greatest sit on your duffs cash handouts some reserves are cashing in on. But let’s deal with the lies and deceit first. The lies are actually a cover-up for what is really going on.
We have their official declaration here and here if anyone wants to read it. Chief Robert Nelson is speaking with a forked tongue, one part of the tongue is being truthful, the other is an outright lie. Let’s look at the other side of this story.

Reading the response from Ridley Island Energy Export Facility – REEF it has every appearance of a new band chief out of touch with the real world and using the “it’s our land” rhetoric to excuse itself of any legal obligations. But there is so much more in play here. Let me interject some harsh truth and reality, while they might think the public is deaf, dumb and blind, not all of us are sleeping while the wheels of deceit are turning.
The only land claim Robert Nelson signed his name to was the roughly 40 acre parcel of land that the Government of Canada was responsible for, and as compensation paid 5 Million Dollars that resulted in the following image. We need to talk about this. Canada failed to properly survey all lands for reserve creation, resulting in 40 acres of land being improperly excluded from Reserve Number 5.

The Cloyah Bay Specific Claim involved Canada’s failure to survey all the lands identified for reserve creation for the First Nation. As a result, 40 acres of land were improperly excluded from Metlakatla’s Reserve Number 5. Canada provided $5 million in compensation to correct this historic wrong and recognize loss of use for its members in the area.
In proper perspective 5 generations ago, there was a surveyor in Canada, that did not do his job properly, so the people of today, the working class has to pay for the sins of people we’re not even related to, other than the claim they were either British or Canadian, and we have no proof that SP Tuck was either. If the government of today, hired a surveyor and the surveyor did not execute his obligations properly, it would fall on the surveyor to bear the costs, not the government. So here we are today with innocent Canadians footing the bill for crimes they never committed.

The settlement was not for the land they are claiming, but was for the 40 acres that should have been part of the reserve, let us show this in perspective by the image below. Contrary to the claims made by Robert Nelson, they do not have rights and title to the land claims they never settled. That land belongs to the citizens of British Columbia and is called crown land. The claims on coastal waters is insane and ridiculous. But funded by American ideology, we will get to this next.
It’s not hard to see why the Tides Foundation is funding both the Coastal First Nations – Great Bear Initiative and now the Metlakatla First Nations, between the two groups (not nations) they would be able to control all the fish, minerals, gas, oil, coal timber, exports of any kind, as if they owned the Pacific Ocean replacing Canada as the true owner.
The 5 million dollar cash settlement set an appetite for money, it’s long been said that people who did not earn wealth, tend to squander it. This generation of Metlakatla did not earn that massive cash settlement any more than the people obligated to pay it out of the fruits of our labour. We did not owe them, any more than if the rest of the world wanting compensation for wrongs done to them 100 years ago, there should be a statute of limitations in place to stop this kind of nonsense.
Be that as it may, the fact is now The American Tides Foundation is cashing in the that hunger for unearned cash.
