The “obstructionist” profile of Janelle Lapointe
From the Stellaquo Indian Band hails yet another radical activist, the first were Molly Wickham , the second her sister Jennifer Wickham and now Janelle Lapointe, never on their own dime, but paid to protest by “white” Eco radicals. If these people were not funded, do you really think they would spend their own money doing this?
Lapointe publicly identifies as an Afro-Indigenous climate justice and Indigenous rights organizer from Stellat’en First Nation (No I an not making this up) this is where her head is at.
She is currently listed by the David Suzuki Foundation as Senior Adviser, Indigenous Strategy. Her listed responsibilities/areas include Indigenous rights, climate justice, Indigenous climate mitigation and adaptation, movement-building and community organizing.
Hardcore Radical: Simon Fraser University lists her as an instructor for its Foundations in Climate Action course. Her SFU biography says she completed UBC’s Climate Justice Study Collective and SFU’s Community Capacity Building Certificate. Go figure “She has written for The Narwhal and The Breach, and has appeared on CBC’s The Early Edition climate panel.” Reuters documented her participating in a September 14, 2026 protest in Toronto connected to Mark Carney’s investment summit.
