Skeena Watershed Conservation Coalition – Pipeline Wars

Great crowd, free food by the same people who wanted your signature opposing this new pipeline. They received over 90 Thousand Dollars from outside sources to convince locals to say NO.

Kolin Sutherland-Wilson is MC for the Skeena Watershed Conservation Coalition’s Pipeline Presentation at Community Info Session on November 20, 2023 at Kispiox Village Community Hall

Before I say anything here is the sales pitch they presented to local residents. A very one sided explanation that did not excluded a lot of outright lies, but all is fair in love and war.

“What a great turn out last night!! A packed house. Delicious soup and sandwiches. Locals from all walks of life! A big thanks to the hosts (Anspayaxw Band and Kispiox Valley Community Association) of last night’s community info session on the Ksi Lisims LNG Terminal proposal in the Nass estuary. If approved, the already approved and permitted Prince Rupert Gas Transmission (PRGT) pipeline would be built through the Babine, Suskwa, Kispiox and Skeena Rivers and valleys! More than 3000 camp workers, a compressor station, etc. AND – PRGT is owned by TC Energy, the same corporation responsible for the Coastal GasLink pipeline boondoggle. In the words of the late Chief Louis Louie – Please Leave Us Alone!
You can make your own comments to the Environmental Assessment Process here by December 1st, 2023! https://www.projects.eao.gov.bc.ca/…/project-details…”

Funny they should mention the Coastal GasLink pipeline, as it was approved by every aboriginal nation along the pipeline path (see list at the bottom of this page) and to date all have received massive financial benefits from this project. Boondoggle would better describe how the Skeena Watershed Conservation Coalition failed to stop this project. Would it then be a shock to know that Kolin Sutherland-Wilson is representing the Anspayaxw Band and he holds a claim to fame with his antics on Wet’suwet’en territory.

“On Oct. 27, Chief Dsta’hyl and Gitxan activist Kolin Sutherland-Wilson were both arrested on charges of theft, mischief and being found in possession of stolen items — after Dsta’hyl seized components from 10 of Coastal GasLink’s heavy machinery.”

In fact Kolin Sutherland-Wilson was the master of ceremonies for this presentation as the image above clearly shows.

Proof that Kolin Sutherland-Wilson is the man behind the Anspayaxw Band’s participation with the Skeena Watershed Conservation Coalition

So its really a case of all the same people that fought the CGL Pipeline are now once again actively organizing against yet another legitimate project.
(Click to enlarge) this is how manipulative politic works. 160 signatures bought and paid for.
WOW! “cannot allow any industrial presence”

We considered posting the entire presentation here, the problem is the audio for their live stream was nothing short of atrocious. The only part that was understandable was the inserted clip (previously taped presentation) where Kai Nagata  from Dogwood BC berates the RCMP for doing their job, protecting legally approved projects. Note Kia was also part of the same gang of radical protesters as many of those who were arrested on the Morice Logging Roads.

The problem you get when you have a team of professional, let’s be honest here, if lying and twisting the truth is all fair in love and war, then you cannot expect this team of people to give you the whole truth, but what you can expect is a slick sales speech full of crock and bull to insure you buy what they are selling.

If only we would have seen a legitimate debate, one where each side could check each others facts, to weed out the lies, then the signatures would mean something.

It was a true doomsday presentation, if we allow any industry, life as you know it will come to a screeching halt, we will all starve to death.

This show was like an Amway presentation, they show you all kinds of facts and truths and why you need to be opposed to a project they are trying to kill. Well there is no system in place that makes it illegal or even checks and balances in place on fibs and lies being told, its all about if you are gullible enough to believe it, its legitimate to sell you on it.

As they say, the message is only as legitimate as the messenger is, in this case funded by American operatives. Everyone needs to know more about just who these people are, see the Skeena Watershed Conservation Coalition and you will discover they had a verdict decided long before the pipeline was announced.

It’s easy to buy signatures when someone else is paying the bills.

This one is from the Tides Foundation

One of the dirtiest tricks this organization plays is the deception that First nations members did not approve of the CGL Pipeline, 100% of the bands on the pipeline path signed on and get benefits from the CGL Pipeline. A list of those bands is published here below.
